本展では、九州を拠点にし、自らの生きる環境に根差した問題意識を持って主体的な活動を行う同時代の表現者7組を紹介する。
九州には、首都圏のように多くの美術館やギャラリーやアートマーケットがあるわけではない。しかし芸術は、そのような芸術インフラが整った大都市の環境の中でしか生まれないものではない。地方にはその地方ごとの芸術の存在の仕方があるはずである。そしてまた九州で生きる作家の価値観や行動原理は、大都市に住む人々のそれに追従する必要はない。必要なのは、自らの問題意識を持ち、自身を取り巻く環境を見つめて応答していくことであり、その先にこそこの土地が独自の文化を持ち、さらに生み出し続けていく可能性があるのではないだろうか？
本展のタイトルは、熊本出身の詩人・谷川雁の詩論の中の一節を参照している。

In Search of Origins:
Art Practices Rooted in the Environments of Kyushu
In this exhibition, we will introduce 7 artists and groups based in Kyushu, who are independently engaged in their own art practices while having an awareness of problems rooted in their living environments.
Kyushu does not have as many museums, galleries and art markets as the metropolitan area. However, art practices can emerge not only in the environments of large cities with such art infrastructures, but also in any small city and village. There should be a lot of possible ways of art in each region. And again, the values and principles of artists living in Kyushu do not have to follow those of people living in big cities. What is needed is to be aware of our own problems, to look at the environment surrounding us and respond. Through such efforts, Kyushu may have its own culture, and there is a possibility that it will continue to be created in the future.
The title of this exhibition refers to a passage in the poetics of TANIGAWA Gan, a poet from Kumamoto.
All we can do is "getting down gradually". Leaps are not subjectively born. To the bottom, to the bottom, to the roots, to the roots, to the place where flowers do not bloom, to the darkness, there is a mother of all kinds. There is an origin of existence. There is the first energy.

２０２０年１２月に別府にオープンしたホテル「GALLERIA MIDOBARU」に作品を設置しました。
各フロアのオープンスペース、客室、レストランなどに設置させていただきました。
アートを取り入れたサイトスペシフィックなホテルです。ぜひご利用ください。
The work was installed at the hotel "GALLERIA MIDO BARU" which opened in Beppu in December 2020.
We have installed it in open spaces, guest rooms, restaurants, etc. on each floor.

2017年5月開館予定の竹田市立図書館に作品を設置しました。コンセプトは「広場」です。
オレクトロニカにとっての初めてとなるパブリックスペースでの恒久設置です。空間の特色に合わせた作品となっています。

小さな木の彫刻と第三者の関係
オレクトロニカがライフワークとして取り組んでいるシリーズです。小さなヒトガタの彫刻は私たちの最も身近である「人」をモチーフとしています。手のひらに乗る程のｆｉｇｕｒｅには様々な空間に対応する「順応性」や「協調性」を持たせています。家に持ち帰り家具や道具と組み合わせたり、野外に配置して風景に同化させたりと使い方は様々です。直立不動はそれ自体「行為」を省いた姿勢です。次の動きを想像させる契機、つまり第三者の関心や干渉により次の展開がもたらされます。手にした人の感覚によって様々な状況を作り出し、新たな意思や光景が生まれることで、変化や気づきといった新しい視点へと繋がっていくと考えます。
It is a series that Olectronica is working on as a life work. The sculpture of a little human has the motif of our most familiar person. The figure that fits in the palm of your hand is given "flexibility" and "coordination" to accommodate various spaces. You can take it home and combine it with furniture and tools, or place it outdoors and assimilate it into the landscape. Upright immobility is a posture that omits "acts" in itself. The opportunity to imagine the next move, that is, the interest and interference of a third party, leads to the next development. By creating various situations according to the senses of the person who holds them, and by creating new landscape, I think that they will lead to new perspectives such as change and awareness.
